Spectrum Lawyers is a growing boutique law firm with offices in Williamstown and Frankston. We provide clients with practical, solutions-focused legal advice across building and construction law, family law, conveyancing, wills and estates, powers of attorney, and outsourced general counsel services. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Lawyer (2+ years PAE) to join our team.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to broaden their experience within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will work across a diverse range of matters, with exposure to several practice areas and the opportunity to develop expertise in our core areas, particularly building and construction law. Experience in building and construction, commercial, property or family law will be highly regarded, but candidates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own files with guidance and support from senior practitioners.
- Advise builders, developers, contractors and property owners on contractual and dispute-related matters.
- Draft and review contracts, correspondence, court documents and legal advice.
- Assist with matters across our other practice areas, including family law, conveyancing, wills and estates, and general counsel services.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct client contact.
- Participate in business development and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Admission to practise in Victoria with at least 2 years' post-admission experience.
- Experience or a genuine interest in building and construction law.
- Strong drafting, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive and client-focused approach.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team.
