Mediation Fees

Half Day Mediation - $1,650 plus GST (3 hours)
Full Day Mediation - $3,500 plus GST (7 hours)

This fee includes a pre-mediation conference with each party before the mediation (if appropriate), preparation, and attendance at the mediation. Mediations can be held online or in person (at a location nominated by the parties, noting any venue costs will be paid separately by the parties). What is mediation and how can it help?

Is mediation confidential?

Yes. Mediation discussions are generally confidential and conducted on a without-prejudice basis. This allows parties to speak openly and explore settlement options without concern that proposals or discussions will be used against them in later proceedings, subject to any legal exceptions or requirements.

Do I need a lawyer to participate in mediation?

Not necessarily. Parties may attend mediation with or without legal representation, depending on the nature and complexity of the dispute. Some clients choose to obtain legal advice before, during, or after mediation to better understand their rights and options. Legal representatives are also welcome to participate where appropriate.

What happens if we reach an agreement?

If an agreement is reached, the terms can be documented in writing. Depending on the circumstances, the agreement may be recorded as a settlement agreement, deed, or other legally binding document. If no agreement is reached, parties remain free to pursue other available options for resolving the dispute.
