Dual Role: Conveyancing Clerk & Legal Assistant

Reports to: Principal Lawyer / Director
Employment Type: Full-time but flexible for the right candidate

Position Summary
The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of the Principal Lawyer. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings.

Our office is based in Williamstown, with the offer of some remote working or flexibility in hours available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to 2-3 lawyers / consultants
  • Handle communication with clients
  • Assist with the running of conveyancing files in PEXA
  • Collating litigation documents
  • General administrative tasks
  • Exceptional skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in legal assistance for a private practice law firm or legal team
  • Experience in conveyancing
  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
  • Excellent computer skills and communication skills

Experience will be considered as a bonus

  • LEAP experience
  • Experience in VCAT
